This tasty Waldorf Salad Fat Bombs recipe is recipe is from my new Sweet & Savory Fat Bombs cookbook! I'd like to thank everyone who has preordered my cookbook. It wouldn't be possible without your amazing support!

I've spent several months creating and testing fat bombs and included the best 100+ low-carb & keto recipes. I have to admit that it wasn't easy to come up with so many fat bombs and I'm really happy with the result! The most challenging part was definitely the savoury recipes.

Waldorf Salad Fat Bombs

What are Fat Bombs?

Fat bombs are snacks high in fat, low in protein & carbohydrates and that’s why they are ideal for a low-carb diet. Here's how you can include them in your healthy low-carb diet:

  • To boost your fat intake in order to meet your macronutrient targets. At least 80% of the calories in the recipes in this cookbook come from fats, which makes them ideal when you need to boost your fat intake without going over your protein and carb target.
  • When you don’t have time to cook and need a quick source of energy.
  • Use them as pre or post workout snacks instead of “regular” snacks high in carbs.
  • Lastly, on a fat fast together with other foods suitable for this diet plan.

What's inside my Fat Bomb Cookbook

  • Over 100 keto, paleo and primal recipes. Over 80% of the recipes are unique and not found on my blog or in my Apps.
  • Recipes are easy to make with few ingredients, and some are travel-friendly.
  • 13 basic ingredients, including nut, coconut & seed butters and homemade dark (& white!!) chocolate.
  • 43 sweet fat bombs, including truffles, bars, bark, fudge and more.
  • 15 frozen fat bombs aka ice bombs.
  • 11 liquid fat bombs, including dark & white hot chocolate, keto coffee and several high-fat smoothie recipes, which are nutritious enough to count as complete meals.
  • 20 savory fat bombs, including snacks and even a couple of complete meals.
  • Most sweet fat bombs and also some savory fat bombs are dairy-free. Several recipes are also nut-free.

I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.

Fantastic book, amazing recipes, just one problem (for me)...I'm allergic to coconut! The majority of the recipes call for coconut or coconut products, often with no suggestions for substitution... even a short paragraph in the intro would be helpful. There are some pretty yummy sounding bombs that I'll have to pass on since I have no idea what to sub for the coconut, which is disappointing.

Hi Cindy, as much as I'd love to do that, I don't always manage to include tips for all allergy options. I do list dairy-free, egg-free and nut-free options but I haven't specifically included coconut-free tips. If you can eat dairy, then you could substitute coconut cream or milk with mascarpone or heavy whipping cream (depending on the recipe). Instead of shredded coconut and coconut butter, you could use crumbled nuts/seeds and nut/seed butter. Instead of coconut oil, you could try cacao butter or ghee. Please, keep in mind that these are general tips and may not work in all recipes.

The fat bomb book as well as the cookbook are both great investments!! I highly recommend purchasing both of the books!! You won't be disappointed!!

Thank you Kevin!

Fat bombs are amazing and help curb hunger during the day if needed. They are also great for a treat after dinner.

This looks like a great addition to my Keto library. Please puck me 😀

Waiting not so patiently for the book 😊  Have the iPad App- learning it and loving it. I am wondering if you are going to make one for the iPhone that is more than the basic- something that will sync with the iPad or  maybe a web portal that will sync with iPad.  I do not always have my iPad with me- more now since I have been using your app but would love the flexibility to either input on either an iPhone or webpage.  Also curious if you are going to in the future have a Bulk ingredient list add?  Just Curious, I would abandon the myfitnesspal app for yours alone if it synced across multi-platforms and had either a bulk ingredient input or url recipe importer.
Thanks for all your hard work!  Your app has awesome information.
SJ

Thank you SJ! Yes, we have been working on a fully featured iPhone and Android app. What this means is that KetoDiet iPad app will become universal and will sync across multiple platforms.
We are not planning to do bulk ingredient list add but you will be able to create custom ingredients separately + have foods already in our food database. I'm not sure about the url recipe importer. I know some apps do that but I'll have to check for possible copyright issues. More information is here: KetoDiet App FAQ

I would just LOVE to win this Fat Bombs cookbook.  I have been eating a KETO diet for a number of months and it has reduced my insulin immensely!

Please develop an Android app!  I totally want your app, but I don't have nor do I want an Iphone.
Thanks!
Love all your recipes

We are working on it now - more info is here 😊 KetoDiet Basic for Android is Out! The Basic version works on Android devices. The full version with the tracker is iPad only and we are bringing it to the iPhone and Android devices.

This book sounds fantastic.

Sounds like a cookbook I need  Thanks

Not sure if it is because I am not the in the US but the pre-order link takes me to your first book (which I already have)
Keen to get the Fat Bombs book though, I will keep trying.
Just wanted to let you know.
Cheers

Sorry, my mistake, I'll fix it now. The first link does take you to my first cookbook.

I just pre-ordered the fat bomb book.. I already have your cookbook.. Your books are so great.
I can hardly wait to add this to my collection. Thanks, RoseAnn

Thank you!!

This new book sounds great! Just a question though...the kindle version costs more than the paperback version?

Thank you! It's actually something I don't determine because pricing is my publisher's job. I think they do it to protect their investment in the printed versions.

Sounds great. Look forward to reading it.

Awesome!

Love it!

Oh my gosh yes
