I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.

Hello Martina!
I'm glad to know about you on the Internet!
My name is Natalia, I live in Russia.
I read your story and I want to say that I faced the same health problems that you wrote about on your website.
The discovery for me was that changes in nutrition are in themselves much more good and quicker than constant use of drugs.
Weight loss, the disappearance of depression, increased stress-resistance, increased motivation for action and changes in appearance (improvement of skin, nails, hair, disappearance of puffiness) - all this helped me to achieve a new diet.
Now I continue to study the issues of proper nutrition and information on keto-nutrition and keto-recipes for self-cooking at home.
I would like to blog for the audience in Russia and for other representatives of Russian-speaking society in the world, then can create a blog and in English on nutrition.
But now I do not have a starting product, as long as there is no book or course for my readers.
I want to ask you to help me find the first product, and I would like to know if it is possible to redeem your rights to one of your books with keto prescription to translate it into Russian and sell it in Russia on my blog?
And sell the original version in English in Russia for those who wish to buy in English.
Your book will remain unchanged. I want to get the rights to one of the books or to a series of books.
Also, you can offer your conditions for transferring rights to the book, if possible.
Dear Martina, in the future, I would like to invite you to post a great interview on my new blog about nutrition (now he is technically developing and I'm writing articles for him)
I can prepare and send questions if you agree to give an interview.
My question about the redemption of sales rights to your book or a set of books remains in force and I very much hope for a positive response.
I wish you a nice day and a wonderful mood!
Sincerely, Natalia Sapozhnikova

Thank you for your kind words, Natalia! When it comes to books, you'd have to discuss this with my publisher as I have no control over the distribution and the languages it gets translated to (I have contractual limitations). When it comes to the interview, feel free to contact me via email (ketodietapp.com/Blog/contact) 😊 Good luck with your blog!

Was awesome. The only issue we had is the time it took for the bacon to be fully cooked. We used thick cut.
2nd time making this i tried putting bacon on in he beginning. Still not crispy.
I think i will try pre cooking the bacon next time unless you have a better idea.

How about broiling it for the last 10-15 minutes (on the casserole)? That should make it crispy 😊

This was delicious. Making it again today!

My favourite keto recipe so far.

How much is a serving size? I eat little pieces and want to know an exact serving size please.

Hi Kat, I didn't weigh the casserole so I can't tell how much is a serving in grams/oz, plus there's always a different level of evaporation so it wouldn't be accurate even if I did. I just divided the whole recipe into 6 servings 😊

Hi! For some reason it doesn’t allow this recipe to be added to the planner.  Thanks!

Hi Amanda, this recipe is in the KetoDiet Meals tab so I didn't want to duplicate it. You can find the recipe in the app (starter pack) and add it from there: ketodietapp.com/Nutrition.aspxFilter (this link will take you directly to the recipe in the Meals tab when using the app).
I hope this helps!

Thank you for your kind words!

I have made this twice now.  It is wonderful and gets better after sitting in the fridge.  Hoping to adapt this recipe to other casseroles I make.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Valerie! I'm glad you like it 😊

I just want to say this great!  Thank you for all your recipes! My husband said to remember this one and don’t change a thing!

Thank you Karen!

What would be the calorie count per serving? I see you have the macronutrients broken down, but not the overall calories. Can you help me with this please?
This is delicious! Thanks so much!

Hi Christen, it is in the nutrition facts as "energy" / "kcal". I hope this helps!

I made this for dinner the other day and my husband announced, "this is delicious!" I think this just might replace the eggplant lasagna as our new FAVORITE recipe. 😊  I baked this in our convection oven so I bumped up the temperature to 400 cooked it covered for 20 minutes and then uncovered it, added the bacon and cooked it for another 30-35 mins. (apparently convection ovens just take longer to cook everything). However, it turned out quite well. I really liked adding the almond flour because it thickened it up. I can see lots of variations on this recipe too. Well done!!
I'm thankful every day for all the great ideas you post on the blog and app. Eating ketogenically is much easier when there's lots of variety and new ideas to keep your taste buds inspired! THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Ann

Oh thank you Ann, you made my day! Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and kind words! That is correct 😊 As a general rule, you should increase the temperature by 20 C when converting it from fan-assisted to conventional oven.

It seems the “planner” icon is missing... can’t add to my planner.

Hi Teri, this recipe is from the App, in the Starter pack - check out the intro in this post and click on the link that says "Bacon & Cheeseburger Casserole". It will take you right to the Meals tab. I didn't want to duplicate the recipe that is already in the App so the plus icon is missing. I hope this helps! 😊

Hi. We tried this bacon cheeseburger casserole but it turned out like cheeseburger paste. It tasted good but not set up and looked a bit like dog food. My husband made it and he’s s professional chef, so I know he followed the recipe carefully.

Hi Amy, the freshly baked casserole looks crumbly like in the video recipe above. I have to admit may not look very appetising but that's the issue with this type of dish. When it's cooked, it's crumbly. It does look better the next day after it cools down and settles before you slice and reheat it. Just for comparison, this is how mine looks the day after: ketodietapp.com/.../bacon-cheeseburger-casserole

Hey, it seems that the link to sugar free ketchup is broken?
