I was about to make this from the recipe section on the keto app but was puzzled by the ingredient list as it lists nuts/cashew butter and also coconut butter but only mentions cashew butter in the recipe so I checked on the blog and realised it's only got cashew butter which makes more sense! Any chance you can change it on the app to save confusion?Tvm.

Hi Sarah, I totally get what you mean. There's cashew butter in the mousse and coconut butter in the topping. The way it is listed as "2 tbsp Nuts, cashew butter, plain, without salt added" is exactly how this ingredient is listed in the third party food database we're using. I think it's just the wording that might sound a bit confusing. For technical reasons we don't always really have control over the way ingredients are displayed (not in meals shared via the blog, only the recipes that are app-exclusive), but you can always double check in the recipe post (directly linked from each recipe in the app). One thing we will do at some point is to segment ingredients depending on where they are used (mousse & topping) which will "prettify" the way ingredients are displayed in the app. I hope this helps!

Hi
I have a hard time with heavy whipping cream in that it makes me "c"; however, I can eat goat cheese, so I was thinking of using 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk (shaking the can before opening and using all the contents - not only scooping out the solids) and 1/2 cup softened full-fat goat cream cheese instead of heavy whipping cream and regular full-fat cream cheese, respectively.
My question is, then, do you think this will yield as creamy and THICK of a texture as yours? I realize the taste will be (hopefully only) slightly different - but I want it THICK. I like my mousse (and smoothies) so thick that I need a spoon!
Suggestions are welcome!
Thanks!

That's interesting, I haven't thought of trying goat's cheese! I'm not sure about the flavour but it will definitely work with coconut cream. If you use whole coconut milk + cream cheese  it should be quite creamy as long as you whip it up. If it's not thick enough then I'd suggest using just coconut cream (only the thick part in chilled canned coconut milk). I hope this helps! 😊

This is a game changer. I didn’t use the drizzle but alone this was gone in NO time by my husband and kids. I will have to make another batch to keep around for sweet cravings. Amazing!

Thank you, I'm glad you all enjoyed! I actually prefer this simple without the drizzle 😊

It does not have the calories on the recipe. I have the kero app, but am not very satisfied. Its very hard to use, doesnt calculate nutritional info correctly and the recipes should have kcals listed on the recipe. I shouldnt have to add it to find that info.

Francine, if I could take a screenshot I would post it right here - it does have calories and says: "calories: 291 kcal". Just look at the table above the list of ingredients.
If you are not satisfied, get a refund - every user has that option with no questions asked. However, I beg to differ when it comes to accuracy. Our app does calculate nutrition facts accurately and here is why: Barcode Scanning and Food Database in the KetoDiet App

I can see that too. It does have calories are you sure you are looking at this recipe? I think this is the best app out there. I don't know of other apps that have tracking and recipes... loads of them and don't charge you monthly. I find it easy to use too.

The calorie count is listed.  You are probably just used to seeing it listed first or at the top.  Here, it is several lines down.  Took me a second to notice it too. But, this is a great app and I find it very accurate.

I noticed that not all people know that "kcal" are calories and that's why you haven't noticed?

This was easy to make and absolutely delicious. A great treat to end my day. I do wish the nutritional information per serving included calories as I need that to record my macros.

Thank you Michelle! It does include calories (see "kcal" and "calories") - if you have our app you can find this meal in the KetoDiet blog section and add it to your Planner directly. I hope this helps 😊
