I have great news for you! From now on our talented recipe developer Lauren Lester will be helping us create even more video recipes! Let's start with this quick & easy keto chocolate mousse :-)

This Simple Keto Chocolate Mousse is fluffy and sweet and makes the perfect ending to any day! Sweetened with a bit of Stevia you’ll skip the sugar crash that typically follows a sweet dessert like this one.

This recipe couldn’t be easier with just 5 ingredients: heavy cream, cacao powder, cinnamon, and stevia. That’s it! I love the little touch of cinnamon that complements the chocolate flavor.

I have been known to switch out 1 Tbs cocoa for 1 Tbs peanut flour.  This satisfies my chocolate peanut butter cravings though it changes the macros.

Adding vanilla protein powder to it! Does great for the macros!

Great suggestion, thank you! Collagen would be great too 😊

Holy addictive sweetness from someone who doesnt eat many sweets.

I've made this twice now and it has become my go-to snack when I need a chocolate "fix".  I use a bullet-style blender and it only takes about 15 seconds until it's done.  Love it!  Thanks!

I need to make a dessert for my boyfriends family that I can eat too and not have them know it's keto.  Will this do the trick?  I love mousse.  Thanks!

Reply

I think it will! It's a simple dessert that can't go wrong 😊

Quick, and easy sweet treat fix!

What is a serving size for each?

Reply

Hi Emily, I haven't measured it but the whole recipe makes 2 servings - it is half of it. It should be about 130 g/ 4.6 oz.

I'm throwing this in the freezer for 15 minutes or so... I'll let you know how it goes

Fantastic suggestion!

Thank you for this recipe!  It has helped with my chocolate cravings and soooo easy to make. Just started the Keto diet and not going as expected.  I get it right some days and some days not. In Week three now and hoping to see a positive change.

Hi, could I use a little bit of instant coffee instead of cinnamon in this recipe? Thank you!

Reply

Yes, you can do that - coffee, vanilla powder etc - the options are endless 😊

Reply

question.....stevia etc. are they for sweetness only or is there a chemistry or consistency issue

Reply

Stevia is only used for sweetness - you can use powdered Erythritol or Swerve if you prefer that 😊

I tried this recipe and really enjoyed it. Thanks

Just made this, so fast and quick. Had everything on hand all the time so is a great snack. Both my daughters saw it and grabbed it before I could have more of a taste, so a definite hit with my family

Looks delicious- I can’t wait to try it out.... thank you 😊

Can you suggest a brand for the heavy cream in 🇦🇺 Australia? I tried few times to whip thickened/ heavy cream and it becomes either lumpy or too wet 🤔🤔🤔
Thank you .. excited to try it

Reply

Hi Lojaine, I have best results with cream that has about 40% fat. You may have over-whipped the cream. I can't recommend any Australian brand as I live in the UK (Lauren lives in the US).

Reply

Try whipping on low speed. If it gets lumpy it means you have over whipped and small particles of butter have developed. Even normal whipping cream like Coles or WW with 35% fat is fine

Reply

A trick I've used for 30+ years of cooking is: add a pinch of salt (and I do mean a pinch) to the whipping cream and it won't turn into butter, unless you whip it a long time! Works every time.

Reply

Thank you for the great tip, Marge! Plus a little bit of salt goes well with chocolate flavoured treats 😊
