Smoothies are a convenient breakfast meal when you're short on time, or you just feel like having a treat for breakfast! :-)

I'd like to thank Vicky and Rami of Tasteaholics for reviewing my my new Fat Bombs book and for sharing one of the 100+ keto & paleo recipes! You can find Vicky's review and my Fat-Burning Vanilla Smoothie at Tasteaholics.

Note: This smoothie contains dairy but you can easily make it dairy-free by replacing mascarpone with creamed coconut milk.

I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.

Desiree, as explained below this is a recipe posted by my fellow bloggers. It's from my book and you can find it on their blog. Link is in the text above (bold).

this sounds yummy....
Does it fill you up for a long time??

Reply

It should fill you up until the next meal but you may want to add a tablespoon or two of collagen powder just to add some protein (that will help you stay full for longer) 😊

Reply

I manually inputted the recipe on My Fitness pal and it comes up with 13g of carbs....

Don't trust mfp, they use crowdsourced (user-generated), database that is not verified. I only use accurate, verified databases such as the USDA.

Reply

You can skip the eggs in this recipe.

Can cream cheese be substituted for the mascarpone?  It is so expense here in Canada where I live, $11.75 for 475 grams

Reply

Yes, you can use cream cheese instead, it will taste like cheesecake 😊
