As we realised, we can no longer use third-party websites for promo code distribution, mainly due to the high volume of traffic they can no longer handle.

Over the next few days, we will be working on our own promo code distribution centre to make running our giveaways 100% reliable. Thank you for your patience!

No Promo Codes Left - Why?

Since some of my readers had further questions about the transparency of this giveaway, I'd like to explain how it works:

• We have over 100K subscribers. Just like with any other giveaway, prizes are not guaranteed and are a matter of luck. As a result, only a few lucky winners will get a promo code. We will not reply to e-mails asking for extra promo codes.

• Just like many others, we use Mailchimp for newsletter distribution. The way it works is that due to technical reasons, Mailchimp sends out emails in batches - not all of them at once. This means that even if you click to get a promo code as soon as you get your email, promo codes may all be taken because other subscribers got their email before you. Unfortunately, we can't change this, as it's out of our control.

• We give away as many promo codes as we can in every newsletter but we are limited by the number of promo codes that the AppStore/Google Play can give us with every update.

• Lastly, make sure you use the full promo code, not just a preview (e.g. E4Y...AP9). A promo code is usually about 15 characters long. You have to click on "claim" (or "redeem" for Android) to get the full promo code that you can redeem. If all the previews show as "claimed", there are no more promo codes left. Also, do not try to use the URL as a promo code - it's only used for hosting this giveaway and won't work as a promo code.

1. Open AppStore on your iPad, select 'Featured' and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page

2. Tap on the Redeem button under 'Quick Links'

3. Enter your iTunes Store password (if required) and enter your Promo Code
