Nothing screams “summer!” quite like a refreshing frozen cocktail, and this low-carb raspberry margarita is the perfect thirst quencher for those hot summer days.

I like to use raspberry sorbet for my margaritas, but if you haven’t made any ahead of time, you can use fresh or frozen raspberries and sweetener to taste. You can use our No-Churn Berry Sorbet or any sugar-free sorbet. Our recipe uses both raspberries and strawberries but it's easy to swap one with the other if you want to make just raspberry or just strawberry sugar-free sorbet.

If you are particular with raspberry seeds, you can blend the berries and then strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag, however as frozen margaritas have some texture to them anyway, the seeds don’t bother me.

Can I Have Alcohol on Keto?

One of the most common questions when people start following a low-carb diet is whether they can drink alcohol. The short answer yes, you can have alcohol in moderation, although it depends on your goals. If your goal is to lose weight then even alcoholic beverages that are low-carb and sugar-free should be avoided. Alcohol still contains calories and may increase your appetite.

As always, drink responsibly and check out our tips for and against consuming alcohol on keto. Our Guide to Alcohol will help you make the right choices when you follow a low-carb diet. Enjoy!

Ingredients (makes 1 serving)

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice (15 ml)
  • 1/4 cup tequila (60 ml/ 2 fl oz)
  • 4-5 ice cubes, or to taste
  • sea salt and fresh or dehydrated lime, to serve

Instructions
