I'm excited to share with you my latest creation - this Bacon & Avocado Chaffle Sandwich! Just like this Ham & Cheese Chaffle Sandwich it's a great meal prep and lunchbox option for busy days.

I've been experimenting with chaffles for quite some time, and I've come up with a unique method for making them super fluffy without any cheese bits or eggy taste! It's the very same method I came up with when working on my Keto Chaffles book!

My secret? I blend the batter until it's smooth and creamy, which creates the perfect texture for a chaffle sandwich. And what's even better is that this sandwich is loaded with crispy bacon and creamy avocado, making it a satisfying and delicious high-protein meal any time of day.

So, let's get started on this recipe and whip up a batch of chaffles that are sure to impress!

What Do I Need to Make Chaffles?

A 4-inch Dash Mini Waffle Iron is the perfect tool to make chaffles but you can use a regular waffle maker which will produce bigger waffles. You can always spread the batter thin to get 2 waffles.

  4. Spread cream cheese on top of each waffle. Top with avocado and crispy bacon. Top with the other waffle.
  5. Enjoy immediately or store the chaffles, without any topping, in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. The container will keep them soft but you can leave them uncovered if you prefer them crispy. Bacon & Avocado Chaffle Sandwich

I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.

Just splurge $10 and get a dash waffle maker, you’ll love it.  I got mine from Kohl’s and used all kinds of coupons, but Walmart has them too.

Agreed! So worth it!

Is it possible to make the Chaffles without a mini waffle or panini maker?  Possibly like pancakes in a pan? Thanks!

Sure! I've got a guide here (all info about how to make it plus alternatives): The Best Keto Chaffles - Ultimate Guide (regular waffle maker or pancakes are a good option if you use a non-stick pan)
