Souvlaki aka meat skewers is one of the most popular dishes in Greece. This delicious meal is very simple to prepare and you will only need a few ingredients: meat, olive oil, lemon and herbs. I prefer lamb or pork but you can use beef, chicken or even turkey. The best thing about this keto recipe is that it's virtually zero-carb and will keep hunger at bay!

You can serve these tasty meat skewers with keto salads or dips including Greek salad or Melitzanosalata.

There are many more recipes in our KetoDiet App that pair well with Souvlaki: Tzatziki, Mediterranean salad, Low-carb Caponata, Tomato & mozzarella salad and many more.

Note: Only part of the oil in included in the nutrition facts, as most is used for marinating and re-used or discarded. You can use pork, beef or even chicken. If you prefer to use pork, opt for outdoor reared pork and avoid farmed pork.

I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.

For the EVOO, recipe states 1/2 cup. However, bracket states 60ml which is 1/4 cup. So, should it be 1/2 cup or 1/4 cup?

Thanks for spotting that Karen! It is 1/2 cup = 120 ml. Fixed!

So beautiful, great for summer BBQ! 😊

Thank you Hayley! Yes, it's great for bbq 😊

Now this is my kind of dinner! I often make the pork skewers from your app and have to try these for a change. I'm lucky enough to live near a farm and get fresh grass-fed meat!

Thank you Tim, you're very lucky!
