Hi Friends, I have great news for you!

Seven years after releasing our top rated KetoDiet App, we are so excited to finally announce the release of our latest project Keto App. Don't worry, as always our primary focus is the "planning & tracking" KetoDiet App and we are working on the next release — stay tuned!

To create the new Keto App we joined forces with the best low-carb and keto bloggers to provide you with a daily feed of delicious recipes, guides and tips and help you follow a healthy low-carb diet.

Our first release of the Keto App enables users to browse through recipes, articles and guides from contributing bloggers and websites. Note that we can only include bloggers who agreed to take part in this project.

It’s currently only available on iOS but we’re working on the Android version — coming soon!

Feature Highlights⠀

  • quickly search through posts (recipes, articles, etc) when you are looking for anything specific (maybe a keto pizza or brownie?)⠀
  • favourite any posts to find them later⠀
  • share posts with your friends

This is just the first release of the Keto App. We can’t wait to add more features based on your feedback! To stay up to date you can also follow the Keto App on Instagram.

Is the Keto App Really 100% Free?⠀

Yes, absolutely! The new Keto App is 100% free with no subscription, no in-apps and no hidden costs. Just quality content from the best keto resources!⠀

We are all about community over competition and this is a community project to help spread the message that lchf eating is not just about weight loss, it’s about adopting a healthier lifestyle. Our goal is not to monetise this app — the Keto App is and will always be completely free.

Your Review Matters

We will be working on the Keto App in our free time and will do our best to add more features.

The best way to support this project and help us spread the message is to leave a review on the App Store. Your review will help increase the ranking and exposure of the Keto App. This way more people will be able to discover it and benefit from the ketogenic lifestyle. Thank you!❤️

I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.

It's a year since it says here you are working on an android version but I can't find it. Is there one now and if so could you post a link to it please?

Hi Clarissa, that is true, we haven't had time to do that yet as we need to focus on our main app.
The free keto app will take months to do on Android so we can only do it in our free time (which is now very difficult).
Many things have happened since then. For almost keto websites the last 2 years have been detrimental as Google cut almost all traffic to them - we were no exception. Thank you for your patience!

I bought the app quite a while ago. I have an iPad 4 and the app and recipes, etc., take up over 800MB of storage on my tablet. Is there any way to change this? It's a lot of storage space! I LOVE your app, recipes, etc. I have taken off almost 50 lbs with Atkins and your help when you came out with this app.
Thank you! Please email me an answer or any advice.
Robin

Thank you so much Robin and apologies for the delayed response. This is an older post and I totally missed your comment!
I know it looks like a lot of space and we have optimised our app a lot to get to this size. It's down to all those images in the KetoDiet Meals sections plus also any custom meal photos. We will keep working on the app and I know there is always a way to reduce it more as new technology becomes available. Thanks again for buying the KetoDiet App!

Hi Martina - I have an older iPad 4, so it won't update to 11 or beyond. I have the KetoDietApp. I'm not exactly sure what I would be missing by not being able to get the Keto App. ???

Hi Robin, The Keto App (the new app) is a separate project from the KetoDiet App that you already own.
The idea behind creating this free app was to enable easy access to keto recipes, guides and articles from some of the most popular keto blogs, and to help spread the message. You won't need to use it with our KetoDiet App.
I hope this helps!

Downloaded! A single place for the assorted keto blogs I follow is the very thing I was hoping to happen; Thanks for creating the space, Martina.

Thank you Elizabeth!

Looking forward the android version... I really hope it will be announced soon! In the meanwhile, I want to thank you for this new great and useful work, you're a huge support for everyone who wants to improve health and lifestyle and follow scientific-based guides with reliable data as you offer to your followers!

Thank you so much Roberta! December is very busy for us but we will resume working on it in January.

Oh no, Android is last again 😂😿

We will get there 😊 For developers like ourselves it's always better to start with iOS. The reason is that compared to Android there is only "one" device.

:-D

Can you please explain the difference between the KetoDiet app and the Keto app? I'm not clear as to why I'd need 2 apps on my already busy smartphone (even after reading this article).
Thanks.

Hi Jude, the difference is significant - they don't look alike or have any features in common.
Here's what our (paid) KetoDiet App looks like (all features listed including tracking, planning and monitoring): ketodietapp.com/
Features for the free Keto App are listed in the post above. Simply put, the Keto App allows users to browse through the "keto blogosphere" and search for or "favorite" recipes and articles from their favourite bloggers. I hope this helps! 😊

Why is this not free for Android devices?

There is no "paid" app for Android. As explained in the post above we are now working on Android. It is not available on Android yet but will be soon 😊

I love the variety of sources and recipes, I just wish that:
1) There was a possibility of linking the recipes, and nutrion values into the KetoDietApp Planner and Basket.
2) The nutrition values were clear to be found and complete for all these recipes.

Thank you Ivan, I appreciate your kind words and feedback! As for the suggestions:
1) This is a community project with many contributors and it’s separate from our (paid) KetoDiet App - for that reason we are not planning to integrate it with our main app. For a start to do that we would need to license and reformat all of the content which would be nearly impossible (all contributors would have to agree and even if they did they could withdraw at any time making this approach "unstable"). Note: Although you may have noticed that there are apps that include recipes from blogs (or "copy" them to be more precise), they are using unethical and often not legitimate ways (no licensing whatsoever) and are potentially subjects to copyright infringement claims.
2) We may do that sometime in the future. I can see how useful it would be to be able to quickly find nutrition facts per serving. Having said that, it will be challenging for technical reasons (large number of contributors and adjustments we will have to make for every one of them) so it will take some time. We will definitely be working on more adjustments in this area! 😊

Thanks so much for this new app. I am a big fan, and have the keto diet app. I have type 2 diabetes, and while I miss the things I am no longer able to eat, I find many keto foods satisfying.

Thank you Jeanie!

Thank you for this Martina, I've been doing your challenges since I discovered your website in December 2017. Your generosity of the time you spend on sharing information and recipes with us amazes me and all for free. I have 3 of your books, and love them, and use your recipes daily, from your books and website. I don't have ios so will look forward to the Android version being released. I can't Thank you enough for the improvement to the quality of my life the information you share has made. Donna x

Thank you so much Donna, I appreciate your kind words and support!

I was wondering if y'all are planning an Android version of your new Keto app.
Thanks

Yes, please see post above for more info.

I tried downloading the Keto App but it said it was not available for my iPad.

Hi Birdie, the Keto App is available for iOS 11 or later on both iPhones and iPads. To download it please make sure your iPad is up to date. You can update it from Settings.

Bought one your cookbook over the weekend.  Looking forward to the android version of your free app.  Thank you for sharing your experience and recipes.

Thank you so much Elizabeth!

This is fantastic!! I can't believe it's free 😍😍😍 There are so many ridiculous apps that charge for recipes they just copy from websites. I like that your app has all my favorite bloggers. Thank you!!!

Thank you KH!

Thank you so much for everything you do. I downloaded the app and love that I can keep track of new recipes from all of you guys!

Thank you for your kind words Gabby!

This is very exciting, but I just have to wait a bit longer for the Android version!  Thanks 😊

Thank you Carmen, we will do our best to release it soon!

Only for iPhones? Who can afford an iPhone?

Trisha, as explained in the post we started with iOS but are working on Android. Keep in mind we are working on this community project in our free time. We do not monetise this app in any way which means we can only allocate so much time and resources to developing this app. Software development takes time and we have to make compromises in order to release this app on other platforms.

Wow! Some people are just incredibly rude. Has it ever occurred to you that this is a free app? Besides they are working on Android which you would know if you bothered to read the post.
