5. Keto Calculator

Following a ketogenic diet doesn't guarantee weight loss. It helps to keep an eye on your fat intake and use a good macronutrient calculator. The closer you get to your target weight, the more important that becomes. Additionally, you need to ensure that you're eating sufficient amount of protein to stay satiated and prevent muscle loss.

Our keto calculator will give you recommendations depending on your goal (weight maintenance, weight loss or weight gain). The calculations we used are based on widely accepted research and recommendations made by Dr. Volek and Dr. Phinney. We put a lot of effort to ensure that unlike some other calculators, you get sensible results that will help you with your diet.

Hello....I have fibromyalgia and I'm limited to swimming as my exercise. So I'm looking forward to shedding fat with your diet.
Years ago I did the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet and lost 35 pounds...and kept it off for ten years. So I know low carb works. Its just getting my lazy butt to do it.

Hi Kate, this could be keto rash. If you google "keto rash", you will find tips on how to cure it. I hope this helps!

I am very interested in starting the Ketogenic diet, which of the keto cookbooks would you recommend I buy first? I have bought many different books for different diets and I don't want to buy another one only to find it is the wrong one .

Hi Rahab, I think that my Quick Keto book may be the best way to start: ketodietbooks.com (keep in mind it is mostly a recipe book)

Hi Martina, I have hypothyroid and my TSH levels are way above normal. I tried your diet and week 1 I actually gained 3 pounds. I followed it strictly. Can you suggest what I ma doing wrong? Should I add in a little bit of carbs? I am a vegetarian. Please advise.

Hi Divya, there could be a few reasons for that. I personally follow a low-carb, mildly ketogenic diet and I'm maintaining a healthy weight (also hypothyroid). Didn't know if you were aware of this but bc I pre-ordered your cookbook on Amazon I was able to order the Kindle version at a reduced rate of $3 and I downloaded it right away! 😉 😉 I am so excited. How awesome is that? It's an awesome collection and I still can't wait for the paper version. I was even the first to review it which never happens to me either!
