As a passionate home cook, I often get asked what my favourite cooking tools are. I cook almost every day and tried several kitchen tools and gadgets. Some were great, and some I would never buy again. Whether I'm working on new recipes or simply want to prepare a quick meal, having the right tools makes a big difference.

Today I'd like to share a few of my favourite kitchen tools, including several affordable options, so that no matter what your budget is, you can find a gift for any keto foodie!

And to make this even more fun, I'm giving away a copy of my Fat Bombs Book! To join the giveaway, simply follow the instructions at the end of this post :-)

  1. The KetoDiet Cookbook. My first cookbook and one of the low-carb bestsellers on Amazon! In this cookbook, you will find over 150 low-carb, paleo & primal recipes, and a quick guide to the ketogenic diet.

  2. The Fat Bombs Book. My second cookbook includes over 100 delicious fat bomb recipes, like truffles, bark, fudge, ice bombs, smoothies and even savoury fat bombs.

  3. Keto Meals in 30 Minutes or Less if you don't mind waiting until its release in June 2017 :-) My third and latest cookbook is all about easy-to-make recipes that take no more than 30 minutes to prepare. You can preorder it on Amazon!

  4. KitchenAid Mixer. Whether you use this mixer to make keto bread or low-carb treats, it's a fantastic tool for every passionate low-carb baker. And there are so many to choose from - it comes in over 40 beautiful colours!

  5. Breville Sous Chef Food Processor - a quality food processor that is essential for making nut & seed butter, smoothies and even soups.

  6. Instant Pot 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker. This is one of the best buys I've made. It's a slow cooker and a pressure cooker in one. I use my instant pot to make soups, stews, bone broth, and even keto desserts!

  7. Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 11-Piece Cookware Set. Get a proper set of cookware for your healthy cooking without unnecessary chemicals. These pans will last longer and will make meal preparation a pleasant experience.

  8. LunchBots Bento Cinco Large Stainless Steel Food Container. This durable lunch box is made from stainless steal and contains a separator. You can have a proper keto lunch with protein, fats and veggies, and even have space for a snack or dessert.

  9. Cuisinart Ice-Cream Maker. This is a quality ice-cream maker with a built-in freezer. For a more budget-friendly option, have a look at this ice-cream maker from Cuisinart.

  10. Lodge Cast Iron Skillet, Pre-Seasoned, 12-inch. A good cast iron is an essential tool in every kitchen and will last forever. It's non-toxic and when seasoned and used properly, it's naturally non-stick.

I changed the way I ate in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. I had no energy, and I found it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

That’s when I decided to quit sugar, grains, and processed foods, and to start following a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach to food.
