With the brand new look and functionality of my blog completed, it's time for another Keto Weight Loss Challenge! Based on your feedback and requests, I've put together a new 90-day challenge to help you get in shape and feel great - just in time for summer :-)

My previous 30-day challenge was a great success and those who took part lost extra pounds, felt better and the lucky ones also won well-deserved prizes! You can read more about the results and tips from many of the participants in my post here.

Just like in my previous challenge, you won't need to use my app and it's completely free. If you are new to the ketogenic diet, make sure you read the Keto & Paleo Guide and also check out the Start Here page that will guide your through my blog and the ketogenic diet.

Throughout the challenge, I'll be sharing recipes and tips on my Facebook page, and on the KetoDiet support group so don't forget to join us.

Details of my Challenge & Giveaway

The challenge will start on 30th March 2015 and will last 90 days (30th March - June 28th). Don't worry if you miss the beginning - you can always join us throughout the challenge!

Choose from two approaches

  1. You can keep the challenge strict by following my Clean Eating Diet Plan which I posted in January 2014. It's dairy-free and sweetener-free. Here are two sample meal plans for this approach:

    7-Day Diet Keto/Paleo Diet Plan

  2. Or follow a Regular Keto Diet Plan - dairy and small amounts of low-carb sweeteners are allowed. To help you stay on track, here is a sample 2 Week Ketogenic Diet Plan

How To Join: Giveaway worth over $2,000 at the end of the Challenge!

The rules of my giveaway are simple:

  1. Subscribe to the KetoDiet Newsletter to get weekly updates, tips and recipes to help you stick with the challenge.

  2. Send me your starting stats at feedback@compumasterltd.com (weight or measurements, photos, etc). Don't worry if you missed the beginning of the challenge, you can send me your results any time during the challenge.

  3. Send me your final results and any tips you'd like to share with others at feedback@compumasterltd.com by July 5th. Don't worry, I'll keep reminding you so you don't forget :-)

  4. When the prizes are announced, I will share your progress stats the same way I did in my previous challenge. Don't forget to mention if you don't want your progress pictures to be shared. I will not share your email or surname with anyone.

When the challenge is over, all the participants will have an equal chance to win - the winners will be chosen randomly, not based on weight loss results. My aim is to promote healthy and gradual weight loss. I wish you all good luck!

Hi Darla, it will be sometime in mid July. I'll announce the details soon (on my Facebook page, blog and newsletter). The next challenge will be a 60-day one 😊

Still plugging away on the 90 day challenge, doing well, and enjoying it thanks to your blog and app.  I think this time I will be able to say that I have successfully changed my eating approach and habits in a way that will be sustainable for the rest of my life.  Thanks, really appreciate your great recipes.

I'm very new to the keto diet. I don't have weight issues, i just want to be healthy. I'm having the hardest time changing my habits in reaching for the low fat but instead reaching for the fatty meats and cheeses and whole milk, etc. so, I'm glad I found your blog. I love the encouragement on here and learning all I can about this new way of life.

I have been on the diet for five weeks and haven't lost a pound.  In fact I think I might have gained.  This is not a big issue for me since my primary reason for being on the diet is irritable bowel syndrome.  Since beginning the diet I haven't had any stomach problems except when I tried using coconut flour.  For some reason even one bite of the coconut flour sends my stomach into fits.  According to the ketodiet buddy I should eat 25 gems of carbs, 54 gms of protein and then vary the fat from 43-118 gms depending upon whether I want to maintain my weight or lose.  In the beginning I had trouble keeping the calories down.  I think it was because I was eating too much protein and then would eat more fat in order to keep the percentages of fat to protein within reason.  Also I started using NuStevia in my coffee (it has 1gm of carb from the maltodextrin in it).  So I stopped sweetening the coffee (ugh) and now keep the protein at 54 gms and the calories below 1000. Normally I would just exercise to get the pounds off, but I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so I can't exercise as normal folks do.  If anyone has any suggestions as to how I might speed up weight loss I would appreciate hearing them.  I only need to lose about 5-10 pounds, so my health issues are more critical than losing the weight, but it would be nice to lose. I have no problem staying within the limit for carbs, in fact I often eat much less than the 25 gms.  I will post this on the Facebook page as well in case someone there might have some insight. I am still experiencing the bloating from the IBS and can't figure out what is causing it.

Hi Tara, I think you should up you calories, 1000 kcal is way too low. KetoDiet Buddy may give you these numbers but I also have a warning above the calculations that it's not advisable to go below 1000 kcal. In fact, I'd try to aim for at least 1400-1600 kcal, even if it calculated as "weight maintenance". The reasons why these calculations are sometimes low are explained in the post below the calculations: KetoDiet Buddy - Easy Macro Calculator for the Ketogenic Diet I think you may need a personalised diet plan that will fit you better - Franziska Spritzler is a low-carb dietitian and one of the experts in this area so she may be able to help you.

Are you IBS-C or IBS-D?  I am asking because I need to find some relieve for my IBS and I cannot stand taking the pills because I think I may start growing stuff, I don't know what's in these pills

Love the results I been getting with this new way of eating.  I am no longer bloated and my IBS is manageable. Thanks for all the recipes and efforts. 😊

I should add my primary reason for following the keto diet is for health not weight loss.  I have chronic fatigue syndrome and irritable bowel syndrome. Since finding this site and starting the diet my stomach has been fine and my energy levels have improved after only three weeks.  Good luck to everyone.

I'll be doing a 70-day challenge as starting now. I need to regain focus as Easter has totally derailed my eating plan. I had lost 20kg up to now  but thanks to chocolate Easter eggs, I have struggled to get back into swing. I am just thankful that I haven't gained weight or measurements (in fact those have gone down). Thank you so much for your wonderful blog and hard work.

I have been doing Keto for 6 weeks, and I have lost only 5.5 pounds. I have not taken my measurements yet, although I know I have lost inches. I know I am late to the challenge, but I really need the motivation to continue.  I am in!

I have been paleo for over two years and have been wanting to go keto for a while now. Your website has really helped me feel prepared to actually make that leap, thank you so much! Started the Keto lifestyle about 3 weeks ago after 'doing' Atkins several times over the last 12-13 years.

Hello, I am wondering if there's any updates regarding the Android Version of your App?

So far I've lost about 10pounds (started at 212, currently at 202). I'm sure this is initial water weight.
The ketostix read medium. No real headaches or anything to report. I did feel a bit cold until I added a little more butter an salt.
So far, so good. 😊

I sent you my weight and as I use the keto diet all measurements are on that.  I posted a question on the FB page.  What else do you need?  If it's a picture I'll scan in one.   I thought I had a handle on this, but no.  I have purchased all the meal / recipe packages but can't seem to find the diet linked ones.  
A more mundane question.  I would like to be able to see the whole page on my iPad.  How do I change the zoom?  

Hi Marion, the blog view that you see in the app is a different view - it's our blog integrated in the app with all posts visible - it's not the same as browser view. If you want to see the whole web view, you will have to open the blog in your browser (go to ketodietapp.com/Blog/).
It's up to you - if you want to share just measurements and/ or weight, it's fine - just make sure you send it to me via email (follow the steps to "join"). I'm not quite sure what you mean by "diet linked"? All recipes can be used in the challenge / for the keto diet. I didn't set any strict rules of meals to eat every day - you can use recipes from the app or follow one of the sample diet plans mentioned in this post. I'll have a look on FB - if you want me to reply to your question posted to the KetoDiet Support Group, make sure you tag me so I can see it (you'll find me in "admins"). Hope this helps 😊

So I've been trying to follow the Keto diet for about month, and I've actually done quite well considering the fact that I have 3 kids, and work full time. But unfortunately I strayed, and I just read your challenge and giveaway, and have signed up. Something about has me motivated to really get serious about and do the 90 day challenge. I'm so excited about this challenge! I sent my pics to you this morning. Even though I sent a picture of my weight on the scale, I honestly only weigh myself only once or twice a year when I go to the doctor's office.
I have been dipping in an out of the keto diet since February of this year and I've had great success with Paleo in the past. I love the Paleo/Primal way of eating but I just got off track for a couple of years.
Doing this challenge will be just the motivation I need to stay on track and not let the stresses of life drive me towards crappy food😊
