Eating disorders and obesity - Two sides of the same coin?

Martina Slajerova

Today I came across an interesting article that I would like to share with you. It shows that eating disorders and obesity are closely connected. All patients with CARB syndrome regardless of their size or weight tend to have brain dysfunction symptoms. As you will find out, sugar may be responsible for more problems you have ever thought of.

Based on the article, the most effective way to improve patient's brain function is to remove the triggers of CARB syndrome from their diet: excessive fructose and high glycemic carbohydrates. So, following a low carbohydrate, moderate protein, high fat diet may help people suffering from eating disorders or obesity. Let's hope there will be more studies and we will get more scientific evidence on this subject!

There is a lot more going on with CARB syndrome. Based on this article by Dr. Bill Wilson published in the peer-reviewed North American Journal of Medicine and Science, it has been linked to brain disorders like autism, depression or bipollar II.
