July KetoDiet and KetoDiet Basic Update

Hi KetoDieters!

A new update of KetoDiet and KetoDiet Basic Apps will soon be released. As usual, I'd like to give you some details about what's new.

What's New

You will soon be getting new recipes bringing the number of recipes in the Starter Package to 91, and the total number to 277. Apart from these recipes, there is also almost 400 recipes from the Integrated blog!

To see all new recipes in the upcoming release, simply type "new" in the search box once you have updated to the new version.

  • 3 new free recipes: Eggs Benedict on Broccoli Waffles, Pork Carnitas and Best Keto Tortillas
  • Minor fixes, including formatting in recipes and new ingredients added to KetoDiet food database

What's Next

As some of you may know, I've been working on my third cookbook, Keto Meals in 30 Minutes or Less that will be out early next year! You can see a preview of one of the the book cover designs on my Instagram.

We have also been working on additional features for the KetoDiet Challenges. The upcoming 90-day KetoDiet Challenge will be announced this week - stay tuned for my post. As always, our challenges are free to join and you can win amazing prizes!

It's been an exciting and challenging year for us. Apart from posting recipes, articles, video recipes, working on cookbooks, KetoDiet Challenges, and creating new recipes for the KetoDiet App, we've been working on the universal KetoDiet app. As soon as we get to beta-testing, we will contact all of those who signed up for it. Here's what we plan to do over the next few months:

  • make KetoDiet (iPad) a universal App with support for all iOS devices (iPads and iPhones) - our current task
  • bring KetoDiet (full version with planner) to Android - our current task
  • provide access to all advanced features for KetoDiet Basic users through in-apps. We want to make it easy for those who want to update from KetoDiet Basic to KetoDiet. For more information, read our FAQ post.

Thank You

Finally, I'd like to say thank you for your continuous support - nothing would be possible without your feedback and encouragement. If you like KetoDiet and want to help us do even more, please, don't forget to leave a review on the AppStore, Google Play or Amazon, it really makes a difference!

Thanks, Sylvia Rimmington

Hello Sylvia, we are getting close but there is still some work to be done. We will have the universal app ready for testing by the end of this year (hopefully in about 2 months) Smile

I am new to all of this and I have been looking at a lot of different support groups and information and I really like this one. Seems like everyone is very supportive and you are on top of everything. I put in for the challenge starting Monday so that not even sure what or how but I am in. Thank you

I love both of your cookbooks and I love your app. I too have Hashimotos and I have had a terrible time losing weight and feeling normal. You have given me so much hope thank you. My mother also has Hashimotos so I am going to try to get her to try ketogenic living as well. I am at the very beginning of this journey.

Hi Martina,
Very happy to hear that the full version of KetoDiet app is getting closer for beta testing. I use your KetoDiet basic app everyday! My husband and I love your recipes. I also have both your cookbooks.  I can't wait to be able to use the planner! Now I do it the old fashioned way (pen and shopping list print out) with the KetoDiet basic app.
I have to say, I am so amazed that people want to have a upgrade path to a full version from basic so that they can get credit for what they have already paid. I am saying this because the packages and basic app are so inexpensive. I think it is very kind of you, but I for one will gladly pay for the full version, even if I have to pay for the recipe packs again. (I used to be in software marketing, we would make companies pay for everything... again... and that software cost thousands of dollars, not just single dollars.) Anyway...
We have gotten so much value out of the basic version and cookbooks these past, almost, 7 months. I for one, would not have been able to make the transition to the keto way of life without your help. I am doing it for health reasons, not by choice.
Thanks for all your hard work on all of this! I can't wait to be a beta tester for the full version of KetoDiet app on Android! (I've signed up already).

Thank you for your kind words Sylvia, I really appreciate that! It's quite complicated because there is no way to merge apps, so we found another way to help people upgrade.
The problem with apps (and software in general) is that there are so many free apps and also apps that have no substance. As a result, many people have different expectations and don't always realise the amount of work involved. To be fair, I was just like that before making my own app Smile
