KetoDiet Beta Testing (Android)
To join our Android Beta testing simply click here & reply with the Android device(s) you'll be testing.

It can take up to 48 hours before we can process your request. We'll send you an email to let you know when you can start Beta testing.
Note: The free offer period for KetoDiet Beta has ended. Sadly, this is a limitation of Google Play. We lowered the price to a minimum (£0.99) and any new Beta testers will be charged. We have considered refunding but that's just too much admin. Thank you.

Hello, I seem to have run into a problem with the "Progress" section. This worked fine for me earlier when choosing any date range (Today, Last 7 days, All time... the latter of which I used most often), but as of this evening only the "Today" option seems to work. The app crashes every time I attempt to choose any of the other options. The only time I got it to work was when I chose Custom Date Range and chose a short range (two days). I tried a few ranges - 14th-15th July, 13th-15th July - these worked, but 10th-15th July did not, and the app crashed again. I'm not sure why this is happening since I regularly use the Progress section. The only other thing of note I did today was add a weigh-in, but that's all, nothing more.

Hi Dan, I've checked all my Custom Meals but they each have either nutrition information listed or ingredients, opening none of them caused the app to crash. However, you do make an interesting comment about changing a Custom Meal - I recall I did in fact change the ingredients in one of my Custom Meals (an aubergine one - I think I added or removed tomatoes) after I had added it to the Planner. Could this be the reason for the crashes?

Hi Anu, I believe that editing a custom meal (after adding it to the planner) could cause this issue. I've made a bunch of fixes when editing custom meals (in v0.23) which should prevent this issue happening again. Also - I believe you should now be able to view as much progress for longer than 14 days. Please let me know if it still crashes! Thanks so much for reporting this issue - it led to us being able to fix a ton of bugs in the custom meals screen! Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan, thank you so much for your comments and the app update. I've just checked the updated version and it works!! No more crashes with the Progress section for any of the date ranges, and even with the All Time option. Hooray! And so glad I was able to help :-)))

Hello again, I have another usability suggestion. At the moment, when adding meals to the planner, let's say you choose an option (any option... KetoDiet Meal, Quick Meals, whatever), then search for an item (e.g."pork"), then choose the food (e.g. "Pork carnitas"). If at that point, after viewing the nutritional data you decide you want to choose another pork meal (e.g. something that fits your remaining macros better - I would go down this route when planning meals for the next day), selecting the X at the top left takes you back to the main menu (i.e. KetoDiet Meal, Quick Meals, Custom Meal, KetoDiet Blog Meal, Restaurant Meal), rather than to the previous page with the entered search keyword and results. I guess what I'm saying is that personally it would be more useful to go back to the previous menu so that I could choose, say, another pork dish from the search results, rather than to go all the way back to the main menu to type in my search keyword again. I understand, however, that this might be a personal preference!

Hi Anu, I agree - this should return you to the search. I'll change this! Thanks, Dan

Hello,
This is just a usability suggestion, not a bug. In the Local Account section when setting up Essential Data and choosing an Activity Level, would it be possible to include a short summary of what each activity level means? A description of these is available in the KetoDiet Guide under the "Should I count calories" section, but this is not very intuitive - I only knew this because I had read it there before, but it still look me ages to find it again. Thanks

That's a really good point - I'll add this to the todo list. Thanks!

Ah I see - so each nutrient has different thresholds for the color, it isn't saying you've eaten too much, but rather too little (which is to be expected, as you've only had breakfast). I would expect as you eat more throughout the rest of the day it should turn green. So the progress bar for each nutrient shows a few things, the blue label is the daily target amount, and where the arrow points is the target amount on the bar. So for your protein bar the darker red is the current amount (which is about half) of the target amount. I definitely agree - this isn't the most obvious user experience, let me chat with Nikos and we'll have a think if there's a better way to represent this information. Thanks! Dan

A couple questions:
1. Is there a way to copy a meal from a previous day to another day (when I click on the 3 dots I only see the option to add to planner? I see the option to copy meal when in the Custom Meals area but not the KetoDiet Meals area.
2. In the "Progress" option I see the different tabs. But I do not see where/how we add info like weight and measurements. Is there somewhere to add this info? If we change it in our "Local Account" settings will it then be logged in the "Progress" section?
3. I know this is more of a recipe/meal planning app and not necessarily a Weight Loss Tracker. Just wondering if there would be a way to track changes in weight/measurements (record our weight on any given day) so we can see how food choices week to week influence our weight loss.
Thank you so much for making this app available to us :)

Hi Esther, for 1) there's no way (currently - this is something we'll do in the future, Nikos implemented on iOS recently!) to copy a meal from a previous day. You'll have to search for it again at the moment. For 2) that's correct if you update the weight/measurements in local account they'll be logged in the progress section. For instance with 3) If you go to local account and enter your weight/measurements (on the add screen there's a date option) it'll track changes to weight/measurements in the progress section. Hope that makes sense! Let me know if I can help anymore :) Thanks, Dan
