Low-Carb Experts

Since I started my blog, I've always wanted to include a directory of experts that could help people seeking expert advice and guidance with their diet. It's not easy to find qualified experts that really understand low-carb and ketogenic nutrition. As you know, I don't offer personalised diet advice for two reasons:

  1. I am not qualified to offer professional advice. I share my knowledge and experience on my blog but it would be irresponsible and wrong to offer such advice.
  2. I have a very busy schedule and very little free time. Creating and maintaining my Apps, cookbooks, recipes and articles is very time-consuming and requires complete focus.

It's tempting for people with an audience to become self-proclaimed experts. My aim is to provide people seeking personalised advice with qualified experts that can help them.

Please, note that I have no affiliation with any of the listed health professionals and I receive no monetary or other compensation.

Amy Berger, MS, CNS, NTP

Specialisation: insulin resistance, type-2 diabetes, neurological conditions
Services: consultation in person and long-distance consultations via phone or Skype

Amy has a master's degree in human nutrition and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Amy spent years doing “all the right things” but failed to see the expected improvements in her health and physique. Through shifting to more intelligent exercise and nutrient-dense, unprocessed foods (especially some of the things we’ve been told not to eat, like butter and red meat), she has transformed her health and physique, and now shares the lessons learned with those still fighting the battle.

She believes weight loss and vitality are neither moral nor mathematical issues. They’re not about willpower and counting calories, but about giving our bodies the nutrients they need to thrive. No math allowed at the table! Amy is especially passionate about showing people that losing weight and restoring vibrant health do not require starvation, deprivation, or living at the gym—and that real men and women need REAL FOOD, not lettuce! Amy sees clients in person in the DC/VA/MD region and is available for long-distance consultations via phone or Skype. You can find Amy on her blog at Tuit Nutrition.
