Keto Taco Turnip Fries


Step 1Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Use immediately or store tightly covered at room temperature.

Step 2Preheat the oven to 175 °C/ 350 °F (fan assisted), or 195 °C/ 380 °F (conventional).

Step 3Wash the turnips and pat dry. Peel the turnips. Discard the peels.

Step 4Cut the peeled turnips into 0.5-inch (1.3 cm) thick sticks

Step 5Place the turnip sticks in a resealable plastic bag (Ziploc bag).

Step 6Add the taco seasoning, salt and the olive oil.

Step 7Close the bag tightly.

Step 8Toss around until everything is properly mixed.

Step 9Place the turnip sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer so that the sticks are hardly touching each other.

Step 10Bake until golden brown; not too raw but on the other hand not over-baked. This takes approximately 25 minutes. Serve immediately with a creamy dip or sugar-free ketchup.
