This refreshing drink is inspired by one of the most popular treats at my local coffee shop. When I first made this keto Chocolate & Almond Frostino, I used heavy whipping cream, almond milk, almond butter, cocoa powder, whey protein powder, MCT oil, cinnamon and Erythritol.

Then I discovered a new keto-friendly protein powder supplement and decided to give it a try. I simplified the original recipe and substituted the cream with coconut milk to make it dairy-free.

The protein powder I used in this recipe is made by Perfect Keto and it was a success. I've been using it to make ketogenic friendly smoothies, post-workout snacks and even homemade protein bars ever since. It's delicious and it's made with just a few simple ingredients: grass-fed collagen, MCT oil powder, unsweetened cocoa powder and stevia. That's it! No artificial sweeteners or other unwanted ingredients.

Perfect Keto Collagen has been designed for people who follow the ketogenic approach. While collagen is a great source of protein, MCT oil powder provides healthy fats which will enhance keto-adaptation. Finally, unlike most other protein powders made with whey or egg whites, it's allergy-free and suitable for those who can't eat dairy or eggs.

How to Use Keto Collagen

I absolutely love your blog! Could you possibly tell me how you made the original recipe that you mentioned? I see what you said you used but what measurements for each and how you did it! I would love to make it both ways as I’ve tried this one and love it, but I would like a coconut free version with whipping cream as well. Thanks so much can’t wait to make the original with cinnamon sounds amazing. All of your recipes are the bomb!

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream or coconut milk
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or cashew milk
1-2 tbsp almond butter or any nut/seed butter
1 tbsp cacao powder
1/4 cup whey protein powder or plain glass-fed collagen
1 tbsp MCT oil
pinch of cinnamon or vanilla (1/4-1/2 tsp)
Erythritol (sometimes I skip sweeteners, or use 1 tbsp powdered Erythritol  or a few drops of stevia)
Optionally ice

Can this product be purchased in Canada and if not what is a good substitute for it

Hi Michelle, you will have to check on Perfect Keto's website. If you can't get it in Canada, it's a blend of collagen, cacao powder and MCT oil powder. You can use 2-3 tbsp collagen + 1 tbsp cacao powder and add a tablespoon of MCT oil. I hope this helps!

Mental clarity and increase energy!

I made this yedterday, although I subbed the keto collagen for protein powder. Was delicious on a hot day.would love to try it with the keto collagen.
I started keto as a way to feel healthier and maintain weight without having to keep counting calories.

My goals on keto are weight loss and getting rid of carb addiction.

I have been trying to do Keto for a few months now. Initially I did it for 2 months and lost 20 lbs and every time I try to get back on track I cant make it past the third day. I want to do Keto to lose weight, for energy, and to see if it helps my skin and psoriasis.  I would love to try Perfect Keto to see if it helps me get back on track and also to help suppress appetite when I work out.
