We've been hard at work for the last couple of months on major new features for KetoDiet (iPad). As many of you already know, KetoDiet is the most complete application for low-carb dieters. The new (iPad) version is awaiting approval and will be live on the AppStore in less than a week!
KetoDiet Basic (iPhone) will follow soon after. We thought it will be a good idea to let you know what's new in this major new release.
New "arrange by" options in Meals tab
We've been asked by users to add this feature and here it is: you can now sort meals by protein, fat, fiber and calories.
Simplified Planner UI
Let me first show you how the new planner UI compares to the previous version:
As you can see the scrolling pages used in the old versions have been replaced with easy to navigate tabs (yes, swiping left or right will still work). We moved the daily stats to their own dedicated tab and added extensive nutritional information to it.
Here are the main features of the new panels:
Currently, KetoDiet offers some of the most popular restaurant meals and we're are working hard on expanding the database. The reason for this incremental approach is simple: We are very careful to always include accurate & precise nutritional data in KetoDiet. We cannot just rely on a 3rd party to provide partial or inaccurate data. We go to great lengths to ensure the validity of the data we supply and that takes time.
You can always let us know if there are restaurants you'd like to see in KetoDiet. We made it easy for you to contact us!
Now, why did we decide to add restaurant meals in KetoDiet? Does it mean we encourage people to eat out? No! We've added restaurant meals for two reasons:
- To make it easy for people to decide what to eat when they have to eat out. There are some meals that are suitable for low-carb diets.
- To make people aware of the full impact of most restaurant meals. Did I hear someone say 8'Triple thick milkshake?'* :)
You can now create new custom meals based on existing ones. This saves a great deal of time.
Based on user feedback, we changed the way we display the daily net carbs intake. You can instantly see when your daily net carbs target was met.
As with every update, we've created some new meals for you. For this release, we've added five new great recipes to the Food Lover's Edition. Here's a sneak preview :)
We've made many more incremental improvements to KetoDiet many of them driven by your feedback. Please, do let us know what you'd like to see in the next version of KetoDiet!
