Bacon Wrapped & Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Step 1Grease a large pan with ghee. Once hot, add sliced onion and cook over a medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step 2Add sliced bell peppers and cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 3Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-5 minutes. Take off the heat.

Step 4Use your hands to divide the ground beef into 5 parts (200 grams or 7.1 ounces each). Flatten each part using your hands. Then take a glass and place in the middle of the burger to create a well. Fold the meat up round the glass to create a bowl shape.

Step 5Wrap 2 slices of bacon round the "meat bowl". Then, remove the glass carefully by gently twisting and pulling it up.

Step 6Fill each "meat bowl" with the onion-pepper-mushroom mixture and a teaspoon of Sriracha and Dijon mustard.

Step 7Finally, top with 1/4 cup of grated cheese. Repeat for the remaining burgers.

Step 8Place in the oven and bake at 150 °C/ 300 °F for 45-60 minutes (until the meat thermometer registers 75 °C/ 165 °F). When done, remove from the oven and let the burgers rest for 5 minutes. Serve with crispy greens or other low-carb veggies. .
